It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Add Mims, Jr., who entered into rest on January 23, 2023.

Mr. Mims, a native of Edgefield County,retired from the City of North Augusta. He was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Ann Jefferson Mims; his children, Denise (Randy) Gartrell, LaShonda Jefferson, Rev. Martris (Rebecca) Mims, Kevin (Tonya) Mims, John (Gerzell) Chaney and Demetrius (Eva) Jefferson; his chosen children, Cedrick Jefferson, Tonya Jefferson, Tony Jefferson and Deidra Mims; a sister, Mary (Joseph) Houston; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Old Storm Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Martris Mims officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
