It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Al B. Young who entered into rest December 24, 2022.

Mr. Young was a 1993 graduate of Silver Bluff High School, 1999 graduate of Livingstone College where he earned a Bachelor's degree and a 2001 graduate of Troy State University earning a Master's degree. He was employed by the Richmond County School System as a CTAE Coordinator. He was a member of Runs Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lloydette Martin Young; two sons,, Everette "Dexter" Simmons and Amir D. Young; two daughters, Shaneca L. (Antwuan) Middleton and Amari C. Young; his parents, Al L. Young and Jacqueline "Jackie" Williamson Young; three brothers, Andrew E. (Erica) Young, Anthony D. Young and Andre C. (Jennifer) Young; one grandchild, Aniyah M. Middleton; his paternal grandmother, Georgianna Young; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Runs Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Stevie W. Berry officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-6 pm Friday at the funeral home.
