It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Albert Thomas, Jr. who entered into rest July 15, 2024.

Mr. Thomas, a native of Jacksonville, FL was a 1976 graduate of Jean Ribault Senior High School. He was a member of Second Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Moon Thomas of the home; a son, Albert Mansfield Thomas; two daughters, Evelyn Christina-Mari Hurt and Kayla Richelle Buckner (Darcel); a brother, Sheldon Thomas; three sisters, Sarah Holback, Carolyn Griffin (Eddie) and Denise Thomas; father-in-law, Mack Moon; mother-in-law, Evelyn Moon-Bonner (Joseph); three grandchildren, James Hurt, Jaiden hurt and Jaire Hurt-Peterson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Second Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Albert M. James officiating. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
