G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mrs. Alice H. Schoultz who entered into rest September 7, 2025.

Mrs. Schoultz, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sisters, Beverly Curry, Ora Mae Mims, Nettie Thurmond and Betty H. Davis; three brothers, Bishop Matthew K. Hammonds, James Allen Hammonds and Timothy Maurice Hammonds; raised as a son, Lorenzo B. Hammonds; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, September 12, 2025 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Freeman officiating. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
