With deepest and profound sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mr. Allen Tanks who entered into rest September 10, 2026.

Mr. Tanks, a native of Edgefield County, was a graduate of Strom Thurmond High School and a member of Science Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sisters, Sylvia T. Riles (Carroll), Mattie M. Springs (Melvin), Gloria T. Stafford (Roosevelt) and Nancy Tanks; four brothers, Willie Bright, Johnny W. Tanks (Viola), Luther Tanks (Doris) and Gregory W. Tanks; one aunt, Alice Dobey; uncle, Henry Curry, Sr.; a host of other relatives and Friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with Min. Gregory W. Tanks officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Canaan Burial Society Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Monday at the funeral home.

The family will receive friends at 524 Siskin Circle, North Augusta, SC.
