Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Allie Hammond who entered into rest February 5, 2022.


Mrs. Hammond was a native of Edgefield County, but made her home in Orlando Florida. Survivors include her children, Tony (Cheryl) Norris, Leisa (George) Mims, Alberta Hammond and Joan La'Boo; a brother, Floyd Goodwin; sisters, Barbara Jean (Robert) Danley, Pluma Lee Washington, Ethel (Thomas) Simpkins, Betty Glanton, Maggie L. (Mack) Rouse and Gail Watkins; aunt, Lugenia Goodwin; sister-in-law, Catherine Anthony; and a host of other relatives and friends.


Funeral services will be held at 12 pm Saturday February 19, 2022 on the grounds of Shaws Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Lorenzo Williams officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
