It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Alphonso Burgess who entered into rest December 30, 2021.

Mr. Burgess was a truck driver. He lived in New Jersey over fifty years before moving to South Carolina.

Survivors include a daughter, Angela (Dewayne) Brown; four grandchildren, Selena Pixley, Tiara (Trevor) Goldwire, Juliana Brown and Julius Brown; four brothers, James Watson, Jr., Gene Davis, Rodney Watson and Terrell Watson; five sisters, Darlene Watson, Michelle (Monroe) Spiller, Cheryl Watson, Nicole Watson and Carla Watson; a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 8, 2022 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Dwayne Brown officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed.
