Obituary

With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mr. Arnold Tompkins who entered into rest April 12, 2025.

Mr. Tompkins, a native of Aiken County, was a member Bethel AME Church.

Survivors include his wife, Frances M. Tompkins; two daughters, Alicia M. Tompkins and Tracie N. Tompkins; one sister, Olivia Stephens; three brothers, Linzie (Beatrice) Tompkins III, Leverne Thompkins and Leon Thompkins; sisters-in-law, Mary Tompkins, Anita Thompkins, Virginia (Leroy) Finklin; brothers-in-law, Albert (Louise) Nabritt and Antonio Williams; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Second Providence Baptist Church where the Rev. Dr. Albert M. James is the pastor and Rev. Felton Price, Jr. eulogist. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Professional Services are under the care of G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-North Augusta.
