With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mr. Arthur East who entered into rest April 16, 2025.

Mr. East, a native of Edgefield County, was a Retired Barber.

Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia (Ronnie, Jr.) Rouse; two sisters, Barbara East and Annie Lou (Allen) Gary; five brothers, Willie (Juliane) Cheatham, William (Pearlie Mae) East, Ricky (Rosemary) East, Alphonzo (Marilyn) East and Freddie Cheatham; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church where the Rev. C. Moses Myers is the pastor and the Rev., Dr. Jasper Lloyd, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
