It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Barbara Ann Dunton Washington who entered into rest April 25, 2022 at AU Medical Center.

Mrs. Washington, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Cherie Washington-White of Dayton, OH; three sons, Michael (Janet) Washington, Eric Washington both of Edgefield, SC, and Darryl (Tonya) Washington of Bowie, MD; one sister, Ella Mae Dunton Bates of Dallas, TX; one brother, Julian (Vernice) Dunton of Fayetteville, NC; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. G. L. Brightharp officiating. Masks will be REQUIRED. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. The service will be live-streamed via the G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Facebook Page. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
