Barbara Ann Washington

With deepest and profound sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mrs. Barbara A. McKie Washington who entered into rest October 13, 2026.

Mrs. Washington was born in Augusta, Georgia and resided in Aiken, South Carolina. She was a 1984 graduate of Strom Thurmond High School.

Survivors include her husband, Horace Washington; daughters, Lolita (Anthony) Lawton, Quaseedra (Josh) Chavis, Katea McKie, Porsha (Shaun) Johnson, Jasmine Washington and Racheal Washington; son, Jamal Washington; sisters, Catherine Johnson, Elaine (Eugene) Thomas, Gwendolyn (Donald) Owens, Brenda Young, Pamela (Melvin) Williams and Minnie L. McKie; brothers, David (Betty) Washington, Keith (Chasity) Washington, Adrian (Michelle) Washington; 22 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 18, 2026 at Mt. Anna Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Old Macedonia Missionary Church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
