With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mrs. Barbara A. Young-Miles who entered into rest July 17, 2025.

Mrs. Young-Miles, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Shaws Creek Baptist Church. She was a 1967 graduate of W. E. Parker High School.

Survivors include her husband, John H. Miles; two daughters, Felicia (Arthur) Lanford of Bowie, MD and Jasmine Walker of Baltimore, MD; two sons, Lincoln (Renee) Young of Maryland and Jonathan Miles of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Yvonne Young of Woodbridge, VA and Dr. Myrtis Walker of Trenton, SC; three brothers, Samuel Young, Jr., Jearold Young both of Johnston, SC and Ronnie (Deloris) Young of Decatur, GA; eight grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Shaws Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.

The family will receive guests at the home (106 Louisa Ln, Johnston, SC) and at the residence of Dr. Myrtis Walker (4 Sandy Springs Rd, Trenton, SC.)
