It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce transition of Mr. Ben Lawton, Sr. who entered into rest September 17, 2022.

Mr. Lawton was a native of Allendale County and a member of Indian Grove Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran.

Survivors include two sons, Earnest (JoAnn) Lawton and Garcia (Claudia) Lawton; two daughters, Delois (Hardy) Jones and Patricia Ann Lawton; a brother, Isaac (Jerlyne) Lawton; a sister, Janie Lou (James) Parkinson; uncle, Alex Hazel; aunt, Connie Lawton; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, September 24, 2022 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary with the Rev. Jonas Walker officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
