It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Bernice Dozier Perry Carter who entered into rest March 29, 2024.

Ms. Carter was a native of Lexington County and a member of Old Macedonia Baptist Church where she served on the Usher's Ministry

Survivors include a daughter, Ingrid Stokes (Gary); a son, Cornell Perry; a sister, Georgia Matthew; a brother, Robert Tolen; one uncle, David Dozier, Jr.; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 pm Friday, April 5, 2024 at Old Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Leonard O. Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Christian Chapel FBH Church Cemetery, 331 Plumber Street, Batesburg-Leesville, S. C. NO PUBLIC VIEWING. The family will receive friends from 4 pm until 6 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
