It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Bobby Walker who entered into rest June 21,2024.

Mr. Walker, a native of Aiken County, attended Jefferson High School where he played basketball, but graduated from Weekway High School in Newark, New Jersey.

At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined Old Storm Branch Baptist Church. He retired from Towson University in Maryland.

Left to cherish his memories are: two God daughters, Deneen Jordan, Gailean Bunch and a God son, Dennis Bunch all of Baltimore, MD; one sister, Daisy (Thomas) Drayton of Evans, GA; one brother, John (Vivian) McGruder of Beech Island, SC; a sister-in-law, Geneva W. Walker of Baltimore, MD; one uncle, William (Patricia) Walker of North Augusta, SC; one aunt, Mamie Walker of Beech Island, SC; a friend, Darryl Sapp; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary with the Rev. Freddie Tarver officiating. Interment will follow in Old Storm Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2pm to 5:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
