With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mrs. Bonita B. Mitchem who entered into rest June 9, 2025.

Mrs. Mitchem was a native of Philadelphia, PA. She was the daughter of the late Theodore and Elizabeth McKie Brown.

Survivors include a daughter, Dr. Latoya Callahan; two sisters, Theremese Brown and Frances (Dexter) Carr; two brothers, Nelson (Beverly) Brown and Seth Perkins; sister-in-law, Sharon Brown; a grandchild, Ian Callahan Henry; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Old Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will only be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
