It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Byron Rolland who entered into rest March 7, 2023.

Mr. Rolland was a native of Richmond County and a 1976 graduate of Academy of Richmond County High School. At an early age, he joined Good Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Brown; his father, Gilbert (Willie Mae) Rolland, Jr.; three brothers, Gilbert (Myrthis) Rolland, III, Maxline (Dawn) Rolland and Eric Rolland; a sisters, Belinda L. McCain; a chosen sister, Lisa Beck; a granddaughter, Ty'Anhna Brown; a great grandson, Shannon Smith, II; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, March 18, 2023 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Jack Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Southview Cemetery.Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
