It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Calvin Butler Martin, Sr., who entered into rest November 4, 2023.

Mr. Butler was a native of Aiken County and a member of Science Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He attended the Aiken County Public School System.

Survivors include his companion, Debbie Candice Garrett; two daughters, Donna M. (Albert) Robinson and Whitney A. Martin (Curtis) Ellison; a son, Calvin B.(Michelle) Martin, Jr.; sisters, Lisa (Rome) Crawford, Mattie M. (Frank, Jr.) Muldrow, Yvonne (Tony Green) Martin and Edna (Larry) Rhaney; brothers, Solomon Martin and Robert Martin; twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 pm Friday, November 10, 2023 at Ashley Grove Baptist Church of which the Rev. Anthony Q. Miller pastor and Rev. Larry Dunbar eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
