Obituary

With deepest and heartfelt sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announce the transition of Mrs. Camilla S. Hooper who entered into rest March 13, 2026.

Mrs. Hooper, a native of Edgefield County, attended the public schools of Edgefield County. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she served on several ministries, including Deaconess, Senior Choir, Pulpit Aide and Mother of the Church.

Survivors include her five daughters, Sheryl (Stanley) Barnes, Angie (Eddie) Webb, Terri Hooper, Janet (Steven) Hardy and Alyce Hooper; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred (Phillip) Wright and Pearlie Mae (William) East; a brother, David (Carolyn) Strom; a sister-in-law, Rebecca Strom; a host of nieces, nephews; other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, March 20, 2026 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Oscar W. Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
