G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Rev. Carsevelt Lanham, Sr. who entered into rest January 11, 2026.

Rev. Lanham was a member of Old Piney Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Dolores Baker and Lashawn Blakeley; two sons, Carsevelt (Johnette) Lanham, Jr. and Donald (Susan) Lanham; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Old Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev., Dr. Debbie McCain officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
