With deepest sympathy we announce the transition of Mr. Charlie M. Cato who entered into rest August 26, 2024.
Mr. Cato was a 1978 graduate of Academy of Richmond County and attended DeVry University, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree. He retired from the Medical College of Georgia as an Engineer. He was a member and trustee of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include three brothers, Ronald O'Brian (Victoria) Cato, Michael Lavon Cato and Mark Alan Cato; a sister, Glynis Elizabeth (Carlos) Key; eight nephews and a niece, Carlo A. (Getina) Cato, Ronald O. (Ebonnee) Cato, Jr., Brittany Cato (Morrico) Williams, Demetrick A. (Paige) Harden, David L. (Stephanie) Harden, Damaris R. Harden, Dominique J. Harden-Key, Devonte D. Cato and Noah M. Cato; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, August31, 2024 at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Antjuan "Tony" Love officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2 pm to 6 pm Friday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm.
