Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Cindy Broadwater Walker who entered into rest June 14, 2024.


Mrs. Walker, a native of Edgefield County attended the Edgefield County Public Schools. She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Senior Citizens Ministry. She worked in Childcare Services


Survivors include her husband, Minister David Walker; two sons, David Matthew (Kimberly) Walker and Victor Hosea Walker; two daughters, Cynthia "Ce Ce" Walker and Tiffany (Derrick) Augurson; a brother, Minister Sam W. (Brenda) Broadwater, Jr.; three sisters, Beverly (Earl) Williams, Brenda Broadwater and Diane (Grady) Knight; one aunt, Mary (Joseph) Houston; six grandchildren; goddaughter, Monique (Maurice) McCain; two honorary goddaughters, Minister QuaTisha (Israel) McCain and Minister CoShendra (Michael) Jackson; honorary grandson, Alijah Ward; special nieces, Alexus Williams and Rosalynn Knight; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Truth Church of Augusta, 4254 Windsor Spring Road, Hephzibah, GA 30815 with Victor Hosea Walker officiating. Viewing will be held from 2 pm until 5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
