Clarence Johnson, Jr.

With deepest and heartfelt sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mr. Clarence Johnson, Jr. who entered into rest May 6, 2026.

Mr. Johnson, a native of Richmond County, was a 1960 graduate of Lucy C. Laney Comprehensive High School. He was a Retired Track Foreman with CSX Railroad and a member of Old Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lowetta Johnson; a daughter, Shirley Fielding; a son, Eric (Lorraine) Johnson; a brother, Earl (Rhonda) Johnson; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 11, 2026 at Old Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev., Dr. Leonard O. Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM SATURDAY, May 9, 2026 at the funeral home.
