Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Curtis Wells who entered into rest February 2, 2025.

Mr. Wells a native of Richmond County attended Lucy C. Laney High School. He worked in the textile industry at Sibley Mill.

Survivors include a companion, Betty Jean Loman; five sons, Antonio Wells, Curtis Wells, Jr., Himie Fields, Robert Grant and Devin Lowman; four daughters, Shinoka Brown, Aja Upton, Shantrice Lowman and Alisha Lowman; three brothers, Jerome (Alice) Wells, David (Rosalyn) Wells and Bernard (Johnnie Mae) Wells; two sisters, Diana (William) Gartrell and Dorothy Kyler; 18 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; caregiver, Peggy Tann; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held  1:00 pm Sunday, February 16, 2025 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Larry Abney officiating. Viewing will be held from 1:30 pm until 4:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Professional Care has been entrusted to G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-North Augusta.
