With deepest and profound sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mr. Darin Jack Johnson who entered into rest July 17, 2026.

Mr. Johnson was born in Aiken County and was a resident of Edgefield. He was employed at the Savannah River Site.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne Johnson; a daughter, Aleshia Black; a son, Alonzo Mealing; a sister, Debra (Herbert) Durden; a brother, Johnny York; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Republican Grove Baptist Church where the Rev. Willie Patten, Jr. is the pastor and the Rev. Darrell Blocker eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
