Darren Lujuane Hightower

With deepest and profound sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of SFC (Ret.) Darren L. Hightower who entered into rest July 23, 2026.

Mr. Hightower, a native of Aiken County, was a graduate of South Aiken High School and at Retired Veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include three daughters, Kourtney Sullivan, Jaquitta Johnson and Dymond Banks; one son, Malik Hightower; two sisters, Allison (Elton) Sabb and Renee Hightower; five brothers, Byron Hightower, Troy Lewis, Lee Lewis, Leon (Myra) Counts and Ray (Key) Wallace; six grandchildren; a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Friendship Baptist Church. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
