It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. David W. Lanham, Jr. whoentered into rest September 7, 2022.

Mr. Lanham, a native of Richmond County, was a member of Elim Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Hattie Lanham; five daughters, Angela Lanham, Serena Carter, Matilda (Charles) Easley, Benita (Ronnie) Hough, and Karen (Antwain) Peterson; four sons, David W. Lanham III, James Z. Lanham, Kendrick E. Lanham, and Kevin Lanham; five sisters, Mozelle (Marvin) Cummings), Pauline (Theodore) Webb, Dorothy (Lester) Young, Cora (Ronnie) Lewis, and Minnie (Keith) Whitaker; three brothers, Raymond (Zettie) Lanham, Willie (Loretta) Lanham, and Ellis (Stephanie) Lanham; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Elim Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Monday at the funeral home.
