It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. David D. Rearden who entered into rest December 9, 2023.

Mr. Rearden, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee. He was Retired Veteran of the United States Army and served as Chaplain for the VFW.

Survivors include, three sisters, Mary McCain, Martha G. Rearden both of Edgefield, SC and Sara R. Haynes of Burtonsville, MD; one brother, Joseph O. Rearden of Aiken, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church (Edgefield) with the Rev. C. Moses Myers officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Friday at the funeral home. The family will receive visitors from 2 - 3 PM.
