With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Deacon Lonnie D. Gordon, Jr. who entered into rest May 21, 2025.

Mr. Gordon, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Pleasant Lane Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Lou Moore Gordon; seven children, Sheneque (Clifford) Gordon Jackson, Micheal (Salvacion) Gordon, Vera G. Eleazer, Bernard (Minnie) Moore, Lonnie E. (Janet) Gordon III, Tricia G. (Rodney) Butler and Cedric (Lynette) Gordon; two brothers, Willie (Maggie) Gordon, Sr. and Raymond Gordon, Sr.; one sister, Thomasina Senior; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Anjel Myers; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Pleasant Lane Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin Searles, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
