It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Debra A. Simpkins who entered into rest March 8, 2023.

Ms. Simpkins, a native of Edgefield County, was a 1979 graduate of Strom Thurmond High School and a United States Army Veteran. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Hattie Mae Curry Simpkins; one brother, Keesley (Alexandria) Simpkins; a host of special cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Gregory Tanks officiating. The service will be live-streamed via the G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Facebook Page. Interment will follow at Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Monday at the funeral home.
