It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Deloris Vaughns Chavous who entered into rest June 18, 2022.

Mrs. Chavous, a native of Aiken County, was a Retired Educator and a member of Mt. Anna Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Delano L. Chavous of the home; two sons, Gregory A. Chavous of Aiken, SC and Daryl (Leslie) Chavous of Jonesboro, GA; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 26, 2022 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Nancy Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the Chavous Family Cemetery (Hwy 278.) Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Saturday at Mt. Anna Baptist Church. The service will be live-streamed via the G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Facebook Page.
