IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dorothy Juanita
Thomas
June 15, 1943 – July 6, 2022
Dorothy Juanita "Susie" Thomas, age 79, of North Augusta, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.
Susie was born on June 15, 1943, in Sylvania, Georgia, to Mother, Louvenia Gordon-Robbins-Thomas, decd., and Father, Offiee Thomas, decd. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Susie attended Screven Co. Elementary Schools and had a passion for life since her younger years. She was a warm and affectionate free spirit, who actively participated in the Special Olympics, and was known to "cut a rug", as she loved to dance. Susie also enjoyed going to church on Sundays and singing hymns. Anyone that knew Susie, knew that she had a love for stuffed animals and a massive collection, which spoke to her kind child like nature. She was a ray of sunshine to all that came in contact with her, and she will be deeply missed.
After moving to Augusta, Georgia in 1988, Susie resided with her sister "Woote" and her loving niece/caregiver, Janice Kelly-Danforth of North Augusta, SC. Susie was a member of the Friendly Church of God in Christ, in Augusta, GA and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, before departing from her earthly body.
Susie is survived by her one son, Jimmy J. Thomas, of Sylvania, GA, a plethora of nieces, nephews, cousins, and one sister in-law, Irene Thomas. Susie was preceded by her two brothers, Albert "Bubba" Thomas, and Austin "Buck" Thomas, along with her seven sisters, Dessie Mae Roberts, Emma Lue Daniels, Pauline Hall, Reatha Mae Williams, Ruby Lee Robinson, Rosa Lee Johnson, and Armistic T. Kelly; all whom she loved and touched deeply. May the Lord be with Dorothy for all eternity.
