With deepest and heartfelt sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Dr. Wayne C. Wesley who entered into rest April 3, 2026.

Dr. Wesley was born in Manhattan, NY and was raised in Harlem, NY. He was a graduate of Luis D. Brandis High School in New York City. He further his education, obtaining an Associates Degree in Human Services from Aiken Technical College, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of South Carolina, a Masters in Business Administration from American Continental University and a PhD in Business Management from Argosy University. Dr. Wesley was a Veteran of the United States Army, a member of Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. He was a member of Gardner Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include two brothers, Sherman W. Wesley, Jr. and Albert Goode, Jr.; a cousin, Cassandra Harris; a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life and interment, with Military Honors, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 13, 2026 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
