It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Eddie M. Butler who entered into rest May 9, 2025.

Mr. Butler, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Science Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Bernita B. Kinard of Edgefield, SC; a son, Eddie A. (Latoria) Butler of Johnston, SC; grandchildren, Jasmine Butler, Markus Allen, Delonta Jones, and Malik Williams; great-grandchildren, Denim Gordon and Jakai Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Simmon Ridge Missionary Baptist Church where the Rev. Anthony Broadwater is the pastor and the Rev. Darrell Blocker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family will receive guests between the hours of 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM daily at 2 Hope Lane, Edgefield, SC.
