It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Elaine Mealing Pope who entered into rest February 23, 2024.

Ms. Pope, a native of Edgefield County, was a 1969 graduate of W. E. Parker High School.

Survivors include two sons, Fitzgerald (Tasha) Mealing and Robert Pope; four sisters, Moriah Allen, Cannette Andrews, Sylvia Brayboy and Corinthian Hillary; two brothers, Russell (Melissa) Mealing and Marcellus (Christine) Mealing; one grandchild; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Patten, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
