G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Rev. Elizabeth Johnson Curry who entered into rest December 19, 2025.

Rev. Curry, a native of Aiken County, was a graduate of North Augusta High School, Aiken Technical, and American Baptist College of Theology. She was the Daughter of the House and member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, North Augusta. She retired as a Power Operator from Savannah River Site.

Survivors include three sons, Booker T. Curry, Jr., Nelson (Helaine) Curry and Stephon Curry; two daughters, Shelia (Anthony) Richardson and Marcia (Chad) Jackson; two brothers, Ben Johnson and Eddie (Linda) Johnson; two sisters, Emma (David) Williams and Inell (Solomon) Ford; eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 pm Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where the Rev. Robert L. Baker, Jr. is the  pastor and Rev. Dr. Stacie L. Williams eulogist. Interment will follow in Mims Grove Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
