With deepest sympathy we announce the transition of Mrs. Elizabeth Williams Jenkins who entered into rest August 27, 2024.

Mrs. Jenkins, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Simmon Ridge Missionary Baptist Church where she served in many capacities, including Mother of the Church.

Survivors include her husband, James Jenkins, Sr. of the home; two daughters, Annette Williams of Edgefield, SC and Alice Jenkins-Bacon of Chapin, SC; a sister, Ora Lee Williams of Edgefield, SC; two grandchildren, Rapheal Lanham and James P. Jenkins, III; great-grandchildren, D'Ontavious Culbreath and Aaliyah Renee Jenkins; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Simmon Ridge Missionary Baptist Church where the Rev. Anthony Broadwater is the pastor and the Rev. Emanuel Gilchrist eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
