Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Ella Mae Hardy Curry Walker who entered into rest January 7, 2023.


Mrs. Walker was a native of Edgefield County where she attended Public School. She also attended Lucy Craft Laney High School, Augusta, GA. She worked at Lamback Cleaner and as a CNA.. She was a member of Young Macedonia Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and fishing.


Survivors include three daughters, Katherine L. Ferguson, Tina (Lowman) Boykin and Valerie Curry; a son, Wayne S. Curry; nine grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, twenty great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.


Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Friday, January 13, 2023 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary with the Rev. G. L. Brightharp officiating. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
