It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Emma L. Blocker who entered into rest Sunday, November 6, 2022.

Mrs. Blocker, a native of Edgefield County was a 1970 graduate of W. E. Parker High School. She was a member of Young Macedonia Baptist Church where she served as an Usher, President of the choir and the Pastor's Support Ministry.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Herbert Blocker; two sons, Christopher Herbert Blocker and Michael Craig Blocker, Sr.; a daughter, Serecur L. Blocker; five brothers, Alonzo Cooks, Melvin Cooks, Preston Mealing, Jr., John W. Mealing and Roosevelt (Theresa) Mealing, Sr.; six sisters, Earnestine (Ralph) Garrett, Diane Adams, Patricia Cooks Ross, Mary Palmer, Lena (Andrew) Blocker and Josephine (Thomas) Prescott; four grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Young Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev., Dr. Sallie Cooks officiating. Interment will be in Springfield Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Trenton, SC Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
