Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Eva M. Williams who entered into rest January 27, 2024.


Ms. Eva Mae Williams, a native of Edgefield County was 1974 graduate of Strom Thurmond High School. She was employed by Shaw Industries for many years as a Supervisor. She was a member of Simmon Ridge Baptist Church where she once served as an Usher, Sunday School Teacher, Church Secretary and sang on the Choir.


Survivors include three sisters, Kareen Williams, Marcia Williams, Unez William Simpkins; a brother, Elvis Williams; five aunts, Annie W. (Bennie) Watkins, Thelma (Jimmy) Long, Joretha (James) Davis, Hattie Price and Frances Briggs; four uncles, Alvin Patten, Calvin Patten, Edward (Nettie) Paten and Elester (Thelma) Patten; two nephews, Avery Simpkins and Stephon Simpkins; a host of other relatives and friends.


Graveside services will be held at 11 am Thursday, February 1, 2023 in Pineview Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dr. Jasper Lloyd, Sr., officiating. Viewing will be held from 2 pm to 5:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.



Professional Services are under the care of G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-North Augusta.
