G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Ms. Faye A. Taylor.

Faye Alice Watkins-Taylor, age 64, was born on September 5, 1961, in New Haven, Connecticut, to the late James Perry Watkins and Helen Agnes Berry-Fisher. She passed away peacefully at home on January 5, 2026 in Aiken, South Carolina.

Faye was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, family member and friend. She worked many years in the medical field and was a dedicated, hardworking woman who took pride in providing for her children. She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was known for her faith, being baptized in Jesus' Name and filled with the Holy Ghost. Her favorite scripture was Psalms 121, "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth."

Faye enjoyed singing, playing the violin and playing tennis, bringing joy through music, sports and the arts.

She is survived by her mother, Helen Agnes Berry-Fisher; her children, Andrea Watkins, Jamilla Watkins and Vincent Watkins; grandchildren, Perry Watkins, Zyaira Watkins, Za'Nazia Wilson, Gehazel Musc, Alvin Artis IV, Andrew Watkins, Ja'Zi Watkins, Makayla Watkins, Anisah Watkins and Vincent "VJ" Watkins; great-grandchildren, Tailyn Watkins, Zephaniah Watkins, Messiah Watkins, Jeremiah Watkins and Genesis Hurst; her brothers, Dr. William Berry (wife, Kathleen Berry), Keith Watkins and Michael Watkins.
