Frances H. Morina

With deepest and profound sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mrs. Frances H. Morina who entered into rest November 3, 2026.

Mrs. Morina, a native of Edgefield County, was a 1948 graduate of Edgefield Academy and was the Valedictorian. She furthered her education at South Carolina State College, earning a Bachelors Degree and Columbia University, earning a Masters Degree. She taught in the public schools of Edgefield County and retired in 1988. 

Mrs. Morina was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she served as Mother of the Church. She was also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Women's Auxiliary.

Survivors include one son, Cleveland B. (Arshale' S.) Morina; two daughters, Sandra Morina-Davis and Marilyn P. (Christopher) Ofondu; two sisters, Patricia Metzer and Marilyn Massaley; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 11, 2026 at Macedonia Baptist Church where the Rev. Johnny R. Clark is the pastor and Elder Freddie Jackson eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
