With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mrs. Frances L. Pickens who entered into rest June 6, 2025.

Mrs. Pickens, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church where she was Mother of the Church. She retired from the Edgefield County School District where she served as a Cafeteria Manager.

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa (Lawrence) Edwards; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev., Dr. Derra Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rev., Dr. Rodney Edmond Scholarship Fund (3300 Martintown Rd, Edgefield, SC 29824.)
