With deepest and profound sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mr. Frank Sims who entered into rest June 30, 2026.

Mr. Sims, a native of Richmond County, was a dedicated entrepreneur and the proud owner and operator of his own trucking company for many years. Through his strong work ethic, integrity, and determination, he built not only a successful business but also lasting relationships with those who had the pleasure of working alongside him.

Mr. Sims was a faithful member and Trustee of Old Piney Grove Baptist Church, where he served his church family with humility and dedication. His unwavering faith was evident in the way he lived, always willing to lend a helping hand and encourage others with kindness and compassion.

Survivors include his wife, Gwendolyn Sims; mother, Elnora Washington; two sons, Derrick Lovett and Brian Sims; one daughter, Tempestt Sims; a grandson, Makai Frank Sims; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving
relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 5, 2026 at Old Piney Grove Baptist Church where the Rev. Daviad Mitchum is the the pastor and the Rev., Dr. Kenneth Cummings eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 until 5:30 PM Friday, July 3, 2026 at the funeral home.
