It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Freddie "Fred" McCain who entered into rest November 8, 2021 at University Hospital.
Mr. McCain was a native of Edgefield County and a member of Carey Hill Baptist Church where he served on the choir ministry and trustee ministry.
Survivors include seven daughters, Beverly McCain, Janice (Joe) Miller, Pamela McCain, Deborah (Jerarl) Boyd, Monica (Rodney) White, LaShanda McCain and Minerva (Carl) Jones; two sons, Melvin and Larry Nathaniel; three sisters, Mary Garrett, Vurnell (Johnnie) Freeman and Dorothy Ann Cook; stepmother, Mary R. McCain; a devoted friend, Barnell Alexander; fourteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 14, 2021 in Carey Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Brandon Dotson officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
