With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mrs. Fredrica D. Newman who entered into rest August 14, 2025.

Mrs. Newman was a 1981 graduate of Aiken High School.  She was the first African American Female Process Leader for Kimberly- Clark Corporation. She was a member of Second Providence Baptist Church where she served on the Deaconess Ministry.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Harry Newman, Jr.; a daughter, Ashley L. Newman; a son, Spencer D. Newman; two sisters, Mildred (Randolph) Alleyne and Pamela (Stanley) Smith; two brothers, David (Karen) Drumming, Jr. and Rodney Drumming; grandchildren, Lyric Newman, Lauryn Muse, Hendrix Newman, Sakiya Newman and Eden A. Newman; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Second Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Albert M. James officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family will be receiving friends at 2100 Banks Mill Road, Aiken, SC.
