It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Geneva Howard who entered into rest July 17, 2024.

Ms. Howard, a native of Beaufort, SC, was a graduate of Robert Smalls High School and Brooklyn College. She was a Special Education Paraprofessional at PS190 and George Gershwin Junior High School 166 in Brooklyn, NY. She was a member of St. Paul Community Baptist church, Brooklyn, NY.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen (Timothy) Key; two sons, Clarence (Deirdre) Howard and Craig (Felicia) Howard; a sister, Marie Harvey; a brother, Elmo Harvey, Jr.; eleven grandchildren; sisters-in-law,Martella Howard, Veronica Harvey and Clara Hamilton; special loved ones, Diane (Albert) Adams, Latonya Rumph and Linda Grissom; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Second Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Albert M. James officiating. Interment will be in Calverton National Cemetery, New York. Viewing will be held from 2 pm to 6 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 4 pm to 6 pm.
