It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announced the transition of Mr. George E. Broadwater, Sr., who entered into rest June 25, 2023.

Mr. Broadwater was a graduate of Blanchard Consolidated High School. He was an entrepreneur/self-employed Cement Finisher. He was a member of Hosannah Baptist Church.

Survivors include five sons, Lorenzo (Robertstein) Broadwater, George E. (Tanya) Broadwater, Thomas G. (Angela) Broadwater, George L. (Wanda) Broadwater and Walter Burke; five daughters, Valerie (Andrew) Jenkins, Angela Dent, Brenda Kirkland, Erica Broadwater and Sherika (Shawn) Edwards; three brothers, Ernest (Deborah) Broadwater, Calvin Broadwater and Jerome (Barbara) Broadwater; a sister, Geneva Lois (Robert) Watkins; twenty-two grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday, July 3, 2023 at Laura Grove Missionary Baptist Church where the Rev. A. J. Saunders is pastor and the Rev. Dr. John R. Brightharp eulogist. Interment will be in Hosannah Baptist Church Cemetery, Modoc, SC.Viewing will be held from 1 pm to 4 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
