Obituary

G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mr. George E. Harrison who entered into rest November 26, 2025.

Mr. Harrison, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of New and Living Way Apostolic Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Tonia Stevens, Yama (Renaud) Cook, Jennifer Smith; and Sharon (Jerome) Gaines; a son, Wendell Stevens; three sisters, Barbara (Jackie) Glover, Theodora Harris (David) and Martha (Ronnie) Drummings; an uncle, Edward Scurry; a sister-in-law, Marion Harrison; 12 grandchildren; nine, great-grandchildren; a longtime friend, Joe Rouse; a companion, Jacqueline Gordon; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at New and Living Way Apostolic Church with Suffragan Bishop William Cue officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Professional Services are under the care of G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-Edgefield.
