It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. George L. Hill who entered into rest November 6, 2024.

Mr. Hill, a native Appling, Georgia, attended Blanchard High School. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church where he was a Deacon.

Survivors include a son, Doby Dwayne (Melissa) Hill; a brother, Kenny Hill; two sisters, Dr. Juanita (Cornelius) Hill-Young and Teresa (Jeff) Tate; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Walnut Grove Baptist Church where the Rev. Christopher Leslie pastor and the Rev. Gladys Moore eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
